A few years ago, I attended a conference for trail planning. Many state tourism bureaus presented, but Idaho's tagline for vacations especially resonated with me:
You only have 18 summers to make the memories your kids will remember for a lifetime. Learn why exploring new places is an important family philosophy for #18Summers
(You are only ELEVEN once in your life! -see this travelogue)
Exploration and wonder are what make learning all that you can-- every summer --such an imperative. We all tend to drop off computers during the summer and it is definitely a time to unplug, but don't stop reading, wondering and don't stop asking those questions for Wonderopolis!
Summer goes by too quickly. Plan adventures, forge new trails and friendships, sing songs, write stories, read books and make memories to last a lifetime!
